About
I am a senior software engineer on the Eng Technology Platform team at Udemy & Coursera. Before that I spent years as a backend engineer at EnglishCentral — payments, cloud migration, microservices, and high-traffic learning systems.
Path
From product backend to platform
At EnglishCentral I designed REST services, led parts of an AWS to GCP migration, and helped move the system toward microservices — including payments, subscriptions, and large-scale reporting pipelines. Mentoring juniors and aligning engineering with product were part of the job, not extras.
At Udemy & Coursera the center of gravity shifted: fleet-wide change, delivery safety, testing culture, and the tooling that lets many teams ship without amplifying risk. I care about systems that feel intentional under load — clear ownership, honest observability, and rollouts you can pause.
Focus
What I spend time on
- Platform reliability and progressive delivery for learning products
- Authentication, security response, and safe fleet-wide change
- Shared testing culture, CI/CD observability, and developer experience
- Turning ambiguous platform problems into shipped, maintainable systems
